Greetings,

Well school is either over or almost done!  I pray each of you has a joyful, relaxing, and safe Christmas vacation!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

I look forward to seeing you all Sunday night!  As we move into 2006 we are going to “Run to the Battle.”  The big kick-off for the battle plan will be at the retreat that begins January 15th, but the next few weeks are going to be preparation.  Here is a glimpse of where we are headed:

12/18 – D.I.R.T.

12/25 – No Sunday Night GROUND ZERO!  Merry Christmas!

1/1 – Special Guest – Nick the Greek (amazing testimony of God bringing a person out of the muck and using him to do great things for the kingdom!).

1/8 – Interns will lead Sunday Night GROUND ZERO.

1/15 – We will kick off our retreat with special guest Mike Guzzardo (speaker from the Missouri Retreat)

You are all amazing!

With the Love of Jesus,

Tim

p.s. – As you can see I don’t have everybody’s email.  Please help me by checking the list and letting me know email addresses for those GZ brothers and sisters that aren’t on the list.  Thanks.

Great Job Warriors!

90 food bags delivered and 14 people received prayer!

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. (1 Corinthians 13:11)

Satan wants you to remain like children, focused on getting stuff, having fun, being successful, being popular or doing whatever keeps you from a radical life lived for Jesus Christ.

God, on the other hand, has a great plan for each of you and has given you the ability to live as men and women of the Cross!  If you are a follower of Christ, you have the power of the Holy Spirit and no longer have to put up with the junk satan throws your way.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. (Matthew 16:24-25)

Let us lose our lives today by giving them to the King of Kings!

I hope your week is going well.  I was so fired up to hear how the Lord moved in your lives while you were at Acquire the Fire!  God is going to use all of you to change lives!  I think something Catie Ritchie said should be our GROUND ZERO battle cry – Jesus used to be my hobby.  Now He is my life!  Let me know what you think!

Did you see any “roadside bombs” this week.  I hope you were able to dodge them, but if you got trapped, the Lord and your fellow warriors are there for you!

I hope each of you have been doing your recons.  I did a little and have a “kidnapping” mission in the works.  I will need a couple of young ladies to help.

Sunday night we will talk about what you found during your recons, and then we will begin to develop our mission plans for rescue operations.  If you haven’t had a chance to do your recon, you have two days left.  Check this out – here is the mission list I shared Sunday night:

1. Recon!  Be watching this week and ask the Lord what He wants us to do to bring the love of Jesus into the places we live.  Who should we be praying for?  Who needs comfort?  Who needs to hear the Good News.

2.  Avoid the enemy.  Surround yourself with the Armor of God (Ephesians 6 - read it!), and stay away from the junk the enemy tries to use to draw you into his trap.

3.  Call for help.  If you are feeling tempted, get in trouble, or are confused, call for help!

4.  Don't distract others from the Lord.  Sometimes we get in the way of others following God.  Let's make sure we are encouraging each other in our walk with the Lord!

I look forward to seeing all of you Followers of Christ on Sunday night!
